Save the date
Unfortunately, for various safety reasons, in consultation with all those involved, we have had to make the decision to go online again this year. This means that students from all the above-mentioned conservatoriums will attend the Focus Day from their own building.
You will be able to follow this day via Zoom: Meeting ID: 289 218 8886 / Passcode: 890753.

Jan Pustjens Foundation
Jan Pustjens had a deep interest in creating educational opportunities for young talented percussionists. As such the recognition of talent and the creation of development opportunities were his primary motivation.
The purpose of the foundation can be summarised as follows:
The recognition and selection of outstanding talent in the field of percussion in classical music.
The creation of educational pathways to bring this talent to development.
The initiation of knowledge transfer in the field of percussion related music.
To support making materials and musical instruments available, as these are seen as vital to the integration of percussion into a wider musical context.
To make possible the attendance at master classes and other educational opportunities, including practical placements and internships at concerts and festivals, at both a national and international level.
The realisation of summer courses and the attendance of students at already existing initiatives in the field.
The stimulation of knowledge regarding recording and transfer of music by CD and/or other methods using social media and internet related possibilities and initiatives.
In the constitutive act dated 7 January, 2015 these objectives have summarised as:
‘…the support and inspiration of young percussion talent through all material and intangible means that may be conducive and all that this implies. The foundation does not aim to make a profit…’
